Whitecross Street Party Illustrator in Residence 2025

Celebrating the 15th anniversary of Whitecross Street Party, an annual creative event celebrating the community of Bunhill and surrounding areas..

I was invited alongside four other artists to be an artist in residence at this year’s event.

For this residency I spoke to the local community, creating live collage paper portraits on the street, celebrating the many faces of Islington.

From market stall traders over the past 30 years, local shop owners and Islington residents. This series highlights the power of our diverse community.

These pieces are a unique perspective on street art. Capturing the people that walk through our streets everyday and celebrating them.

The artwork is on display in the area for the remaining year with a series of activation events taking place throughout the weekend.

During the event in July I facilitated a collaborate community artwork created over the two days.

I invited the local community to capture their own paper portrait, adding to a large collaborative artwork, showcasing the many faces that passed through that weekend.
